Public bus (Airport Bus 8)
฿100/person to Old Town, ฿150 to Patong. Runs 06:00–20:00, every 30 min. Slow (90–120 min), no A/C guarantee, luggage-strap chaos. Only makes sense if you're solo, backpacking, and time-rich.
Grab or Bolt
฿700–900 to Patong/Kata, surge-priced. Fine, but with 3+ passengers or luggage you're forced into a bigger vehicle, and drivers sometimes cancel at 10pm arrivals. Not our first pick for post-flight tired guests.
Private minivan (Loma or similar)
฿1,999-฿5,500 flat depending on destination. Meet-and-greet at the arrivals gate, bottled water, flight-tracked (we know if you're late — we wait), 7-seater with actual luggage room. This is what we book for every guest by default.
Airport limo / Alphard
฿4,500+. Only worth it if you want to arrive at your villa with a chauffeur experience. Same practical value as the minivan for less than half the price — but 10x the entrance.
For 90% of arrivals, private minivan is the right answer. The premium over Grab is ฿300 and buys you flight-tracking, luggage room, and no cancellation risk.
